THE FATHER'S HEART

 So...I had to chase my 3 year old around the house in order to spank her for disobeying me...she decorated the living room with water....

I had a cane some where that her sibling had hid, so I decided to punish everyone, for :            1. Hiding the cane, 2. Protecting her while I was chasing her. They were all crying and screaming and running around.. and away from the cane whilst taking their sister along....!

Inspite of the punishment and the tears, ten minutes later she knocks on my door and asks,   "can I come in"? I ignore her. She comes in any way...and goes" I am sorry I disobeyed you..."!       I Ignore her! She then goes, "I wont do it again"!    I say ,"it's ok, I forgive you '! Then she moves on immediately..." what's that? Can I put it on...'?           I reply"when you're a mommy"! 

What struck me....? The fact that I had just chased her around the house while she was pleading and screaming to not flog her did not stop her from entering my room, she did not wonder if I was still upset. She just came in trusting. 

It does not matter how long you have gone on a wrong route, you can still turn around! Our God is the one who chases you as though you are the only one! You cannot stay on a wrong road that leads no where because you are afraid to say you were wrong! God is the most merciful, the most understanding, the kindest being you can ever know. His arm is extended just, waiting ! 

Do not change..come in your work cloths, in your rags or riches, in your strength or weaknesses, with your insecurities and fears...Jesus is the answer you have been seeking! Just call home, your Father is waiting!

HOW ARE YOU DOING?

 So...I watched Being Mary Jane today. I am not really a fan because I do not agree with some views carried on the show but today's episode spoke to me which is why this post!  Lots of times people ask us, 'how are you doing'? And the response is 'I am fine', 'great', ‘absolutely amazing'! TURN YOUR PROPHESY TO A WEAPON

 One of the greatest books that impacted me as a university undergraduate is a book called WHERE THERE IS NO DOCTOR - A VILLAGE HEALTH CARE MANUAL written in 1970 by David Werner.  It is compendium of hacks that can be deployed when faced with emergency situations that occur in everyday life in the absence of medical personnel.  The connection would seem farfetched   until you understand the trend of my thought.  You see, I applied it as an undergraduate in the university leaving home for the first time in my life.  I had been sheltered, never travelled anywhere and I found myself on my own  for the first time.  I decided I would learn to be my own doctor and flowing from that my own prophet! we are a generation that are constantly spoon-fed.
