THE POWER OF ATTENTION
Sitting in a comforter on the far side of her dimly lit salon, she watched the men. She loved to sit in that corner because it gave her an ample view of the clients who came without being seen. From there,there, she could assess those who were good for the money and those who were merely 'loose change'. She had been in the business for so long that she could tell a lot about a man by his looks! His sandals, clothing, appearance and general body language...every item had a voice! She chuckled to herself! The two men seated quietly in a corner with their back to the door did not look like they were from these parts,so she watched them. There was a lot of tension because of an impending enemy attack and as a fallout the government had declared a' day and night' curfew which kept everyone from going out of the city gates.
